Dr Mugendi attended a Cochrane Fellowship for authors of Cochrane systematic reviews in Cape Town South Africa between 14th and 26th July 2014.
Dr Mugendi has been working on a review and the award by the South African Cochrane Center was meant to assist in completion of the review by providing a time out period for the authors to concentrate on their work. There were four other authors from Nigeria and South Africa who were at different stages of the review process, either a new review or an update of an existing review.
Dr Opanga returned from the US where she had gone for three months between March and June 2014 as part of her studies for the fellowship in Implementation Science.
We welcome her back and wish her well in her future endeavours.
